CHAPTER 7. ​GENERAL DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS | Article 7.5. ​Outdoor Display and Storage

B. General Outdoor Storage 1. Defined

General outdoor storage includes, but is not limited to, the outdoor storage of contractors equipment, lumber, pipe, steel, salvage or recycled materials and other similar merchandise, material or equipment. 2. Standards General outdoor storage is permitted in the -IH District following review of a plan illustrating the extent of the permitted area for general outdoor storage and provided it meets the standards below. a. All general outdoor storage must be located at least 15 feet from the public right-of-way and must be screened by a Type C1 street protective yard as set forth in Sec. 7.2.4.B. b. General outdoor storage may be located in the side or rear setback and must be screened by a Type B1 or B2 transitional protective yard as set forth in Sec. 7.2.4.A. when abutting a Residential, Mixed Use or Special District. c. General outdoor storage cannot be located in an A or B neighborhood transition zone.
