VALVE PROGRAM UTLITIES SPECIALIST, SENIOR

Primary Duties:

Class Code: 012420

 Oversees field staff’s daily duties as field staff Supervisor in repairs, replace- ments and/or daily inspections of water valve assets with-in Distribution system; to include assignments with annual in-house flushing project.  Install’s, replaces, and repairs assets such as water services, mains, fire hy- drants, split services, sample station’s, and auto flushers.  Responds to emergency and after hours calls of hit fire hydrant, water main breaks, as well as contractor damages.  Must be able to use a locator to set up jobs as well as a leak detector to deter- mine the exact location of leaks that occur.  Data entry into CityWorks program such as time/labor, equipment, and in- ventory used on a job as well as enter comments/updates about how the job is going or any issues that have risen on a jobsite.  Able to send emails and communicate with managers and train employees.  Maintains truck logs and inspection logs for CDL vehicles as well as loading and unloading equipment from trailers.  Required to work after hours on an on-call rotating repair call crew. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED and four years of maintenance experience. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successful- ly perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless other- wise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation. Licensing/Certifications Valid North Carolina Class A Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record or the ability to obtain within 45 days.

SALARY RANGE: $20.91 - $33.80 Hourly $43,488.00 - $70,310.00 Annually
