LOCATES PROGRAM UTILITIES TECHNICIAN

 Performs routine maintenance of job sites, vehicles, tools and equipment; cal- ibrates equipment; sets up and breaks down work zone and related equipment; monitors safety of work spaces; determines need for and sets up traffic control measures.  Monitors supplies and equipment inventory; initiates requests for required parts, tools and materials.  Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED and two years of maintenance experience. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless other- wise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation. Licensing/Certifications Valid North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to ob- tain within 45 days. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Knowledge of:  Standard practices, methods and materials of assigned work.  Basic mathematical concepts.  Basic filing and record-keeping principles.  Occupational hazards and applicable safety principles and practices.  Uses and properties of supplies and equipment.  Applicable federal, state and local laws, codes, regulations (based on assign- ment).  Customer service principles.  Specialized equipment relevant to area of assignment.  Modern office technology. Skill In:  Following directions and meeting standards.  Providing attention to detail in assignments.  Performing routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.  Proofreading and error correction.

SALARY RANGE: $16.41 - $25.27 Hourly $34,131.00 - $52,554.00 Annually
