Dive into more advanced computer science topics, including augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Computers are getting smarter every day due to advances in machine learning algorithms. Coders can teach computers to recognize faces, play games, and find patterns. In our class, we will create a chatbot, Rock Paper Scissors game, and more. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day. Curriculum and instructional staff are provided by Tech Academy. Discover the excitement of programming your creation to follow a command and watch it go. Our classes are fun, educational, and hands-on, teaching students the foundations of building and programming concepts. Students working in teams will then be challenged to morph their projects into better, stronger, or faster robots. Curriculum and instructional staff are provided by Tech Academy. Age: 9-11 yrs. This camp will energize and excite students by combining the LEGO® building system’s versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 (the most sophisticated microcomputer brick ever made by LEGO®. Working each day in teams, students will construct fun LEGO® models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. Robot building, block programming, and teamwork will be part of each day’s activities. The final challenges will be centered around hitting targets and a sumo battle. This camp is perfect for those who love extraordinary cars and thrilling race actions. Explore the world of robotics using LEGO®’s Systems. Build cars and dragsters with motors and sensors to explore the environment. Students working in teams will be introduced to robotics fun and learn about the programming process along the way. Every day students will explore a different car model, and on the last day, take what they learn to create their own car and compete in a racing tournament. Combining the versatility of the LEGO building system with the most advanced technology Lego has ever developed, unleash the creative powers of the new LEGO MINDSTORMS to create and command robots and devices that can do anything you can imagine. Students working in small teams will build these exciting models, learn how to program them into action, and then have the opportunity to experiment and modify the programs. This course will give you hands-on experience developing your own game using Scratch 3, a visual coding platform. Students will learn to think like programmers and learn coding concepts as they create a multiplayer soccer game and a game that plays against the computer.
