Artist Studio Summer Camp will culminate with an end of summer exhibition. Program hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm. Early drop-off will begin at 8:30am. Participants must be picked up by 5:30pm. Participants should bring a lunch, two snacks, and a water bottle each day. This college and self exploration program is designed to help students gain greater awareness of institutions of higher education in North Carolina. The program offers personal interest surveys, tips for enhancing your resume, guided and self-guided campus tours and information sessions to many of North Carolina’s private and public campuses, including technical schools. Participants will also have information sessions about college applications, financial aid and career exploration. This is a great chance for students to develop new friendships and experience a college environment while finding a schools that could possibly prepare them for their future careers. Artist Studio Summer Camp Age: 11-16 yrs. The Artist Studio is an art-based day camp that provides pre teens and teens with the opportunity for skill-building and creative exploration in a professional studio setting. Workshops during camp are designed and taught by professional teaching artists. With access to the Pullen Arts Center studios, studio equipment, and tools participants who are art curious can explore and experiment with new ways of making. During the week, participants will also take art related field trips and end each day with open studio time where they will be able to work on individual projects or participate in fun collaborative art-making activities. Specialty Summer Camps All Access Sports Age: 12-14 yrs. This is your all-access pass to the sports management industry with behind-the-scenes tours of various sports complexes around the area. Past tours have included local college facilities and stadiums, PNC Arena, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Nascar Hall of Fame, and Bank of America Stadium. Friendly sports competitions will also take place throughout the week. Participants should bring a lunch and two snacks daily. Thomas G.
