Policy PU 5.6 Rainwater Collection and Storage

Action PU 5.1 Completed 2015

Where adjacent waters are not vulnerable to even minor reductions in base flow, encourage the deployment and use of rainwater collection and storage systems, such as rain barrels and cisterns and rain gardens by residential and commercial property owners and managers.

Action PU 5.2 Stormwater Fee Review

Revisit the stormwater fee structure as necessary to provide adequate program funding.

Policy PU 5.7 Green Stormwater

Infrastructure Monitoring Regularly inventory green stormwater infrastructure to identify and evaluate landscape features where stormwater can be absorbed naturally. Maintain and update models of watersheds and sub-watersheds to account for the amount of green infrastructure that is present to perform this function.

Action PU 5.3 Watershed Studies

Continue to complete additional watershed studies until Raleigh’s entire jurisdiction and Urban Service Areas have been covered by such studies.
