# Guideline Site Design: Automobile Parking 14 Parking lots should not dominate the frontage of pedestrian-oriented streets, interrupt pedestrian routes, or negatively impact surrounding developments.

When a parking lot is adjacent to a street, screen it using a wall and/or landscaping.

Parking should go in the interior of the block

15 Parking lots should be located behind or in the interior of a block whenever possible. Parking lots should not occupy more than 1/3 of the frontage of the adjacent building or not more than 64 feet, whichever is less.
