Action AC 1.9 Public Art on the Capital Area Greenway Utilize the city’s Capital Area Greenway system as a venue for placement of public art as identified in the Capital Area Greenway Planning and Design Guide.

Commission one or more bold, iconic works in Raleigh.

Action AC 1.12 Private Development Incentives Investigate ways to amend the UDO to allow developers unable to meet site development requirements to include public art as a design alternative.

Action AC 1.10 Public Art Policy

Amend the existing city ordinance to increase incrementally the allocation for public art in city of Raleigh Capital Improvement Plan projects from 0.5 percent to 2 percent to allow for appropriately scaled projects, for program support, and to broaden the types of capital projects receiving public art treatment.

Action AC 1.13 Public Art in Site Plans Review the city’s site plan standards for opportunities to increase flexibility for the incorporation of public art materials.
