Raleigh Water Employee June 2024 newsletter

In April, CC&B had their quarterly full staff meeting at Lake Woodard in rooms 111 & 112 and welcomed several new employees! They also played “ People Bingo ” - a fun get to know one another game. The room was packed with staff introducing themselves and finding categories they “ matched up ” with one another. It was a great time with some friendly competition and some fun prizes! There was also important information shared about CC&B ’ s two big upcoming projects, CC&B Application Migration to the Cloud and Replacing current Customer Web Self Ser vice Portal with New Customer Portal and work being done over the next 14 months.

The seeds we have planted within one another, whether it be thru motivation, teamwork, encouragement, positive conversation when someone is having a not so good day or just a simple hello with a smile have come to fruition. “ There is a seed of success inside each of you. Let it grow. Keep it alive! ”

In the month of May, the Employee engagement Team (EET) gave each employee a unique goodie bag “ Never Stop Growing with CC&B!! ” The bag was filled with a flowerpot, soil & water, and various seeds as just a small token of appreciation for everyone ’ s hard work and dedication to making CCB a great place to work. It was a creative way to remember there is something new, fresh, and exciting budding inside every person– always an opportunity to grow and develop. Now, just like employees beginning to learn something new, the seedlings are growing at various levels; some are growing together, and some are growing individually which sort of mirrors how different people learn at different paces and some in a group and some on their own. A fun, different and enjoyable way to think about growth and development.
